New Coaching Opportunity for Advanced Innovation Procurers

Written by Federica Porcu

Advance your procurement capacity with tailored coaching, fully funded by the European Commission!

The InnoHSupport project launches a new opportunity for public and private healthcare procurers through its second and final Call for Advisory Services. This edition is specifically aimed at organisations with medium-to-high innovation maturity, offering tailored coaching to help them consolidate, professionalise, and scale their innovation procurement practices.

Selected teams will participate in a coaching programme of up to 26 weeks, combining individual mentoring and group learning sessions. The services are designed to provide practical, expert support in three key areas of the procurement cycle: funding opportunities, tender document preparation, and contract management.

Benefits for awarded applicants

Participating in this program means your team will:

  • Receive personalised coaching from European experts in healthcare innovation procurement.
  • Strengthen your organisation’s internal capacity in funding strategies, tendering, and contract management.
  • Access practical tools, templates, and methodologies tailored to real-life procurement challenges.
  • Learn from peers through joint sessions and knowledge exchange opportunities.
  • Improve strategic alignment and execution of innovation procurement within your institution.
  • Benefit from a fully funded programme, with no cost to participating organisations.

Who can apply?

This call is open to public and private procurers of health and social care services, based in an EU Member State or its Horizon-associated countries.

Tranche 2 targets organisations with prior experience in innovation procurement, such as those that have launched or are preparing PCP/PPI procedures or similar initiatives. The programme is best suited for teams looking to scale, refine, or professionalise their innovation procurement practices.

A maximum of 12 teams will be selected. To promote inclusive capacity building, at least 10% of selected teams will come from low or moderate innovation regions across Europe.

What services are offered?

Applicants may choose one of the following three Advisory Services:

  1. Funding Opportunities Identification. Guidance on how to explore and access EU, national, and regional funding to support innovation procurement strategies.
  2. Tender Document Preparation. Support to develop clear, legally compliant and innovation-friendly procurement documents that attract quality proposals, especially from SMEs and start-ups.
  3. Contract Management Support. Coaching to help procurers manage innovation procurement contracts effectively, focusing on performance monitoring, risk mitigation, and IPR strategies.

Each team will receive tailored guidance, access to tools and templates, and the opportunity to learn from peers through joint activities.
