Written by Federica Porcu

The InnoHSupport project was presented during the panel session “Transforming Public Buying: Key Initiatives and Tools for Innovation” at the event Procurement in Health for Uncertain Times, held on 20–21 May 2025.

Organised by our coordination partner Science & Innovation Link Office (SILO), the event brought together experts and stakeholders from across Europe to share insights and experiences on navigating innovation procurement in the health sector.

During the panel, Diana Cortés (SILO) presented the InnoHSupport project, highlighting its focus on the available opportunities for capacity-building and advisory support for healthcare and social care procurers and the Matchmaking & collaboration activities for suppliers. The session also featured:

  • Adrián García, Head of IT at Hospital Universitario del Sureste, sharing the PREPLEX project as an InnoBuyer success story.
  • Andrés Gilsanz (SILO) introducing Procure Innovation EU, another key initiative supporting public procurement transformation.
  • Marlene Wild, Partner, Boston Consulting Group, presenting the Innovation Procurement Hubs initiative.

Partners TicBioMed and Healthcare Proc Europe were also in attendance, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the initiative.

The event served as a valuable platform for exchanging tools, practices and lessons learned on fostering innovation in complex times.
